Creating competitions allow students to show best effort in school. In tandem with the Reading Week, students were encouraged to design and imagine book covers for the stories acquainted with the titles.
Selection was tough as many had put on their best and yet, winners had to be identified and awarded with gifts.
We finally managed to pick them and here are the winners. For Upper Secondary, Charis Tan in a digital creation stole the judges’ hearts. Annabelle Yap was commended on her originality based on her own understanding of the title. For the Primary category, Thum Si Xi cleverly used water colours to enhance her design and the pastel touch caught our attention.
We will continue to encourage the students annually just so that creativity is included in our daily learning.
The next up and coming competitive challenge will be connected to the annual magazine production and we seriously look forward to keen competition among the learners for a cover that best represents the theme of the year, Per Volar Sunata – Born to Soar. Here’s the best to all who intend to take up the challenge.
Have fun.
