Charting a schedule to stir up an interest in the forth coming Charity Carnival, the students were an incredible lot in their response and attitude towards the event.
We decided to stage a pre carnival event where students were given a chance to plan and execute sales. They had to get the cooperation of stakeholders in providing home-made goodies or even assistance in food preparation. Some classes even went to the point of making handcraft products like book marks, souvenirs, earrings, and various other beauty items. Their innovative and creative stances rose to the occasion and it was with great pleasure to see them in action.
Though they did not receive a chef’s kiss, they were capable of coming up with menus that were palatable and left a lasting impact on the buyers. For once, they got to choose different menus for breakfast and had a whale of a time consuming them. How nice was it to have nasi lemak, keropok lekor, buns, pies, cakes, roti canai, doughnuts, fried noodles, ramen, sandwiches, curry puffs, fries, nuggets and the list goes on. The fun was contagious and they know this chance does not come easy. They made sure they maximise the opportunity.
Having done exceedingly well in this experience, we look forward to the Charity Carnival Day on 13th May 2023, when we get to savour in even more palatable menus. Besides, there will be effort to create more fun in games and sports which will fill the day with memorable moments. Parents are welcome to participate and raise funds for a local orphanage as one of the aims in the event.
We certainly pray for a fine day, bright and beautiful for families to come together and be happy. Come one, come all for the occasion.
