It is with great pleasure to see them go out of the gates of EGIS after years of nurturing and guiding. Some came in when EGIS first started ; Sharyn, Serene, Jayson, Chantel, Yi Ying and Jia Sheng. Kar Yeen , Aaron, Kia Jork , Akshay and Sze Ying came later followed by Elijah, You Jinn, Tan Suey and finally Henan. We love having them for they gave us joy and pride in their various talents and involvement in the school.
Some can count very well, some read voraciously, some are orators while others perform like professionals. Name them. At the year end concert, Henan stole the night with her spate of expressions and charm. She is into a bright future in the performing arts. Sharyn, the counselor has a ear for all; continue to be that friend. Serene is as sure-footed as the goat; be sure of all. Yi Ying, the writer updates our vocabulary each day; what do we do without you now ? Kar Yeen and Sze Ying are pals for life; stay close. Jayson is smart; continue to be that star. Chantel; quiet but a thinking soul and surely knows what she wants. Aaron plays ice hockey for the nation; be a champion! Akshay stands for a cause. Kia Jork, the house captain leads well. Elijah; we see and are thankful for that transformation. Tan Suey brings us colours and creativity. You Jinn is a blessing the moment he sets foot here. Jia Sheng may you learn each day from the hard knocks of life.
To all my children of year 11 Victory 2019, we wish you all the best and may you survive out there with integrity, grit and perseverance. Stay good. God bless you , my boys and girls.
