After another analysis based on previous records we are pleased to discover that we actually did splendid for IGCSE 2020.
Not only did the number of candidates increased but the overall performance became better year after year.
We also did a SWOT analysis and concluded that the student exposure to the IGCSE framework matured tremendously in terms of understanding of needs and requirements expected in learning. The scaffolding offered by teachers had a positive impact translated in their scores.
Students towards the final months encouraged one another through peer learning and scaffolding too. When they scaffolded, they empowered themselves in learning and understanding of subject matters.
The caring ethos by all was heartening especially so during the lockdown period. Against all odds the teachers and learners work hand in hand aiming for the best.
Parents were understanding and even prepared meals when teachers went the extra mile to prepare students during semester breaks. Their support was encouraging to the school too.
Last but not least, throughout the exam season, students were kept comfortable and calm with prayers each time they entered the hall. They coveted for such confidence and trust that they will be seen successfully through. They truly received the blessing.
EGIS will not rest on her laurels ; she will continue to uphold her wards in guidance and prayers; always leading them along the right path till they leave her gates.
